A STRANGE STORY Ali Rıza Revenueli

I waver between prayer, confession and swearing. On the other hand, I am like a woman who wants to write her own history. I have some ideas in my mind, they are stuck there like vitamins in a fruit. I know that every person was just a drop before. Then some people took over the world, and I owned the cheapest beads of sweat on my forehead... I didn't know if I was alone on this path. How many people could I fit into the full-length mirror of my dreams?

Maybe I was late in understanding the problem, but I finally realized it; monopoly in the economy, centralism in politics, homogenization in the social fabric; that the factory, the barracks, the school are workshops of social engineering. A new religion had been found; All this was done with his help. In fact, it may not have been a new religion; in fact, it was the most ancient and oldest religion. The ingenuity of this "new" religion (don't mind me saying new, it's literal) is not limited to this. He developed a consumption culture based on fashion, brands and women. It turned individuals into consumers and made them dependent on fashion and brands. It created fashion references in every field. He left the identities of "essence" to the belongings of form and spectacle. Belongings were shaped according to the eye, not the essence.

He had a strange sense of morality. He commoditized everything. Could anything tangible remain in the name of ethics in such an environment? It tended to destroy anything based on difference. However, the nature of society was plurality and diversity. Freedom should also correspond to the act of realizing one's own "essence" and differences.

I was at the crossroads; I took the maps under my feet; I cut out the tongue of the keys. While I wanted to branch out in life, that "wonderful" fruit of the soil was like a bullet in my mind. At first he was a person whose hair rivaled the wind; Because that was the human image in my mind. Since he created the "new" religion, I no longer view him favorably. The religion in question was capitalism. Yes, because capitalism was a "religion". Even though it did not consider itself a religion, for me it was a supra-religious religion. His prayer is for "profit" and his curse is for "loss"... His temple; cities, shopping malls and eye-catching plazas.

The phenomenon we call civilization and modernism was nothing but the values and rituals of the religion of capitalism. It was this devotion to religious belief that brought today's life, the earth, to an existential crisis and imprisoned people in "purgatory".

When I say I am at a crossroads, one of the directions I point to is towards capitalism, the manufacturer of enslaving concepts, and the other is towards an alternative construction formed by the rejection of the religion of capitalism.

But I still waver between prayer, confession and swearing.
