Εκδήλωση αλληλεγγύης με μετανάστες στο St. Gallen Ramazan Benek
Solidarity event with migrants in St. Gallen
The migrant solidarity network Sans Papiers organized a solidarity run on Saturday in the St. Gallen city park, which was financed by the TW Foundation St. Gallen and the local community of St. Gallen. Mathias Rickli, spokesman for Sans Papiers, said that with such events they try to show solidarity with migrants and raise funds for better solidarity.
The solidarity event, which attracted great interest despite the heavy rain, began with a speech by Mathias Rickli. A banner was also unfurled to protest Israeli massacres in Gaza. Following the speeches, the solidarity run began, which in German is called Solidarity Run.
Sans Papiers was founded in 2002. Sans Papiers, which means “the undocumented” in Turkish, works to eliminate the grievances faced by migrants who are forced to leave their country due to various problems and to develop solutions to address these grievances. The main goal is the enjoyment of basic human rights. It offers advisory services on topics such as difficult living conditions, right of residence, health insurance, family reunification, financial problems and shows solidarity with migrants in order to exercise their legal rights.
