DOUBLE SHELTER TYPES Engin Erkiner
Double exile has two types: to the same country or to different countries. Isabelle Allende in the Spanish civil war in her novel Ein weiter FeldIt tells about a man and a woman who were on the side of the republicans and who, after being defeated, crossed the Pyrenees mountains and came to France. These people first stay in a camp, but it is unsafe.
If the Nazis invade France, their lives will be in danger. Salvador Allende, who was the minister in Chile in those years, sends a ship to take the people in the camp. They arrive in Chile after a long journey by ship. After living in this country for nearly thirty years, they are forced to go to Venezuela after the Pinochetcoup.
There were two exiles here. Staying in a camp for a few months in France is not considered exile The author does not dwell on it, but there is no language problem in this double exile. The same language is spoken in Spain, Chile and Venezuela. Additionally, these two countries are former colonies of Spain. People can go into exile to the same country twice.
Some Iranians had to leave the country during the rule of the Shah and went to Germany. This exile, which took place in the early 1970s, ended with the Islamic Revolution in the country in 1979. They return to their country, but in a short time, especially the women, realizing that they made the wrong decision, they come back to Germany (What is meant here is West Germany. In those years, < /span>Germany has two.)
What is happening here is double exile. People had to leave their country twicebut they went to the same country both times.
I don't know if there is a triple slide, but probably there is.
