IMMIGRANTS IN GERMANY AS A SOURCE OF MONEYEngin Erkiner

Germany' Turkish immigrants in Turkey have been seen as a source of money for years by the governments in Turkey, as well as right and left organizations. In 1982, the country needed a large amount of foreign currency, and the foreign currency sent by Germans was almost equal to the foreign currency earned by the country's exports.

I don't know enough about right-wing organizations, but the money that socialist organizations have collected and sent over the years through dues and donation campaigns is a large amount. Mass organizations were sending money worth several tens of millions of DM every year.

It can be said that the approach of governments and socialist organizations to those outside the country is parallel. . Abroad means a source of money first.

It was difficult to operate in the country and money was necessary, but in European countriesevaluating the activity primarily on the basis of money sent was wrong and would cause major problems in the following years.

First generation workers came to this country to work and save, and that's what they did. This huge accumulation had to be drawn into the country through different ways.

TC Central Bank promised citizens that they would give high interest and transfer their money to this bank. He called me to deposit. The money deposited in the Central Bank and sent to Turkey was transferred through Dresdner Bank. Apparently, neither Turkish citizens nor bank managers were aware of German tax laws. The bank was indeed giving high interest rates depending on the amount of money deposited, but according to German law, the income obtained from this had to be shown in the tax return.

After a few years, German finances understood the situation. He easily learned who had deposited how much in the bank, from the transfer records made through Dresdner Bank, and began to impose heavy fines. Hürriyet newspaper wanted to help with meaningless reasons, but in Germany, ignorance of the law was not considered a reason.

Additionally, it was revealed that some people deposited 600-800 thousand DM into the bank. They could not explain how they saved this money. The explanation was actually easy: as a family, they had received social assistance for years and had worked illegally during this time. The "save us" calls made by those who deposited money to the Turkish state did not yield any results.

Germany tax laws were clear.

Heavy fines were paid and the matter was closed.

These people DM They watched it every day. They knew how much gold was worth per gram, they didn't even buy a magazine for three DMs, they found it expensive.

In the end, they won, but they had to pay part of it to the German finance. /p>

They were not defrauded, as in the Bankers Incident in Turkey in the 1990s, but they did not earn as much as they expected.

Didn't the Central Bank managers know the tax laws in Germany?

Maybe they didn't know or more Even though they knew how to ensure the money was deposited, they did not provide information.

< p>In the next article, we will focus on the big incident called İhlas Holding, where religious people defrauded religious people.
