RISE GROWS AGAINST RACISM, CAPITALISM AND tainted JOY Sinan Çiftyürek

REVOLT AGAINST RACISM, CAPITALISM AND STINKING JOYS GROWS Sinan Ciftyürek Reactions to the killing of 17-year-old Nahel in the Paris suburb of Nanterre by police at close range on 27 June have been going on for days across France. Interior Minister Darman's announcement that 45 thousand police and gendarmes were "deployed" against the protests shows the extent of the riots. The unjustified, arbitrary and disproportionate use of force by the police, the unemployed that capitalism throws on the streets every hour of every day, the growing immigrant-foreign hostility and deep racism in French society, the death of 16 people in the last 18 months as a result of Nahel-like attacks..... These have been the fuelling factors of the revolt that has been going on for 5 days. Yan; Masses ready to retaliate against so much suffering... Anger ready to be caught up in excitement... Stinking joys... The desire to live humanely against poverty... Hostile feelings towards wealth and extravagance... The valour of the youth who are enthusiastic and blind to everything... The spirit of rebellion created by national oppression... Beliefs that have been unsettled as a result of years of suppression of thought by decree and tyranny... The army of the unemployed that capitalism throws out on the streets every day and which has become almost fond of noise and violence... Counter-reactions fuelled by suppressed instincts for action... An intense curiosity... A passion for change... The pleasure of watching a new show or reading a poster for a meeting... Interest in the gong that signals the opening of the curtain in the theatre... Vague grudges, regrets, disappointments... Ambitions surrounded by inaccessible walls... Passion to quench the thirst of years... Reactions intensifying against the bourgeois power that has been contaminated from top to bottom... AND THE CRISIS CREATED BY THE LACK OF A REVOLUTIONARY ALTERNATIVE!.... This is in outline the sum total of the feelings and thoughts which are, and will be, the basis of the behaviour of all those in France and even in the world who hope for a salvation out of a collapse. This is, in a nutshell, the situation in which our workers and labouring peoples are today, with its positives and negatives. Paris is known for its street protests and barricades. Today, if the workers and labourers of Paris-centred France and the young people with their Blacks and Whites are on the streets, the reasons we have summarised above lie at the basis. Our call to France; the solution is not to send more armies and Special Forces to the cities. The solution lies in listening to the Black people, especially the youth, and offering solutions to their demands. The solution lies in the development of the struggle against racism, which is growing and growing in France and the world. And the task of the day lies in weaving the opposition with the lessons learned from the practice of socialism and revolutionary organisations in the 20th century! In the meantime, Turkey, which harbours a large mass of immigrants, needs to learn lessons from what happened in France. If radical measures are not taken against the rising and consciously escalated racist nationalism against immigrants, it will face the disaster whose footsteps are coming. The fire of racist nationalism, which has been raised by the state against Kurds for centuries and against immigrants in recent years, should know that it will envelop the target group as well as those who raise racism.
