24 thousand people passed from Turkey to America in 2022.

The number of asylum seekers crossing the Mexican border to the USA reached monthly record figures. According to the latest official data, the number of asylum seekers trying to cross into the USA continues to be at record levels not seen in over twenty years.

According to the official figures of the US Customs and Border Protection Agency, citizens of different countries are among those who crossed the Mexican border into the US. Citizens of Latin American countries, mostly, cross the Mexican border to the USA seeking asylum.

From the Mexican border There are also Turkish citizens among those who passed to the USA. In recent years, the number of Turks who came to Mexico from Turkey and fled to the USA has increased to 31 thousand 485 people. According to the latest data of the US Customs and Border Protection Agency, 1,944 Turks in 2020, 4 thousand 989 in 2021, and 24 thousand 362 Turks in 2022 came to the USA from the Mexican border as refugees.
