EXILE MAGAZINE Engin Erkiner

EXILE MAGAZINE Engin Erkiner As the Assembly of European Exiles (ASM) leaves behind ten years, the fifth issue of Sürgün magazine, the first in its field, has been published. As can be read in the evaluation of the ten years, ASM has been trying to clarify what exile is and what it is not for years. When it became clear that the ASM could not cover all exiles, but had to deal with many problems related to exile, such as information, analyses and Interpol records, the work accelerated. During this process, it was decided to publish a journal. Although the journal was meticulous in ensuring that the articles in the journal were directly related to exile or somehow connected to exile, it can be said that this determination could not be realised sufficiently in the previous issues. The last issue shows that important steps have been taken in this regard. It can be said that the exile of Turkish exiles is an empty field. Although many exiles came to European countries, especially after 12 September, many people did not accept that they were exiles or even immigrants for years, let alone deal with the issue. This is all behind us. Objections to the term "exile" have either ceased or there is no need to take it into consideration. This term has become established. The magazine is distributed in several European countries, primarily in Germany, and is able to finance itself, albeit with difficulty. We expect all exiles to make an effort in the dissemination of the magazine. Below is the content of the latest issue of the journal. Contents Page: 3 Hello from Exile...
